DMP: Average Fuel Consumption in Vienna
Creators
Description
This Data Management Plan (DMP) accompanies the FAIR Data Science project “Average Fuel Consumption in Vienna” submitted for the course FAIR Data Science at TU Wien (March 2026). The project trains a scikit-learn Linear Regression model on a publicly available dataset from the City of Vienna (MA 20 Energieplanung), covering yearly per-capita energy consumption across Austrian federal states from 2015–2026, with a focus on the Vienna (AT13) subset.
The DMP outlines how FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) are applied across the project lifecycle, covering dataset provenance, storage strategy, licensing (CC BY 4.0 input data, MIT License for code outputs), and data sharing plans via a public GitHub repository. The dataset contains no personal data; GDPR does not apply. Generated outputs include model predictions (CSV), trained model artifact (.pkl), and visualisation charts (PNG).
